I spend a few weeks in da city in New York, and so far it has been great. Lots of great music, people and inspiring conversations. My activities on this blog will be reduced a bit. In the meantime please have a look at www.npr.org. A great resource for music aficionados, since they host several webcasts of concerts, interviews and a radio station. We have recorded 9 songs in late February at Soma Studios in Zofingen, and I think it’s going to be bombastic! People at Soma did a wonderful job, and we had a blast playing our songs. Everything went well, so well we even finished a day earlier than actually scheduled. :-)

A rare occasion takes places this Monday 27th of February: With my good friend and musical partner Andreas Tschopp I will perform one set of improvised music. We know each other since more than 13 years and since 8 years we meet every few weeks to rehearse and extend our own musical language. Ranging from standards to free music we will explore lots of places this coming Monday. Don’t miss it, really. I highly recommend to reserve your seats in advance or be there early. Very limited, but cozy space.

The band you always dreamed of is going to make a recording. Yes indeed! For three days in February we will be at Soma Studios to record 9 songs. There’s a fantastic hammond organ B3 for me to play on, and Jonas just recently got a beautiful vintage drum kit, and our man at the bass Claude plays three different types of basses. Not at the same time though. But he could, I’m sure!

We are very excited und freuen uns schon wie grosse Kinder auf die Aufnahmen. CD launch is planned to be in Spring 2013.
